five more sunrises to go
feels like five hundred
a blessing awaits or
the dreaded curse

all I want is to come out beeming
all I want is to come out smiling
all I want is to walk away happy
all I want is to live my life happily

can I face the truth
and accept the reality 
walk away with my head high
or drown in tears

what will it be like
to live life that way
in pain and misery
desperate and lonely
